School's REALLY out for summer

Hooray! I made it! Four of my forty students didn't, but hey, I did. Too many kids came today--I was pretty disappointed. The deal is, everyone is allowed one unexcused absence. Since day one, I've encouraged my kids to save it for today. Well, I had four kids in my morning class, which was perfect, but I had TEN in my afternoon class. Grr. So I was mean and made them do all sorts of meaningless work (grades were already turned in). I'm allowed to be mean--I'm pregnant, and it's not my fault they made silly decisions.
