Cindy?

If you look close to her left hand, you'll see the yellow soccer ball (near Pooh's bottom) that she HAD to have in bed with her. We've been kicking it around a lot lately.

Napper

The past two afternoons, Emily has fallen asleep nearly mid-play. I guess the one nap at daycare isn't enough.

Helping Daddy

I never wanted to be one of those "child lock" houses, but man, they make things a lot easier. We've moved everything dangerous, but she would help herself to lots of snacks, and she broke a big glass bowl. It's funny how much she wanted to help Jon, but then when she realized what he was doing, she was pretty mad.

This is what happens when Jessica calls

You should definitely click on it to enlarge it. I let her eat the remnants of her snack pack (a rare sugar treat). She basically has chocolate pudding covering most of her body. And yes, I admit, I was bribing her to be quiet while I talked. What can I say--Jon got to go to Six Flags, and we needed a treat, too.

The stats

I'm nine weeks pregnant, due April 10 (or 14, depending on which date you'd like to go with--as if I'll actually have the baby on one of those days!). So Emily will be 21 months old, and I'll get to miss the last 6 weeks of school--perfect!

Emily's park video #2

I finally posted it on youtube--too big for blogger to upload.

Big girl bed

Since Monday, Emily has been sleeping in a toddler bed. She sleeps on a cot at school, so we thought this was a logical decision. However, we currently have to sit outside of her door until she falls asleep. I'm pretty sure the only time she's quiet is when she's sneaking out of bed.

Park video--the updated, "good" video

I totally uploaded the wrong video last time! Here is a good one...

Another trip to the park

We've been taking advantage of the three-day weekend and the somewhat cooler morning weather--on both Saturday and today we went out to breakfast and then to the park.

First taste of sand (Cindy, I'm not sure she's ready for the beach).

The worst part was, she was so snotty and sweaty that the really fine sand stuck all over her. We had to do a sink-bath (which she barely fits in anymore) when we got home.

Kyrie's cage

Emily got in and out of the cage all by herself, and did so several times.

Kyrie, our temporary dog

We're watching our friends' dog, Kyrie (keerie) for two weeks while they're back in Georgia. She is about the size of a Jack Russell, and she's QUICK, so I didn't get a good picture of her yet. Funniest thing--she LOVES playing with Kronk. Maybe because he's still kind of a puppy. They will play and play and play all day (and night) long. So far they've all gotten along really well, and it hasn't been a big deal to have a fourth dog over. It probably helps that she's so small.

Student driver

Emily is now tall enough to get on her little car (albeit backwards) and push herself all around. She loves it, and our backs love not having to push her around.

Lunch

I gave her a marshmallow after her lunch and it was hilarious. She never would bite it, she only sucked on it.
Smalls waited patiently for handouts. She doesn't know how much Emily eats.

Park trip

More excited about juice than the park.
Jon worked with Smalls on some basic commands that she seemed to be forgetting (I swear she is a goldfish).
Sand was VERY interesting.

Would you peel those grapes?

Enjoying some grapes after waking up from my hour-and-a-half morning nap (I still look tired!).
