Herb garden

Jon built this awesome herb garden out of rain gutters.  They're angled so the water can drain down.  Now I just need to transplant my herbs!

Birdhouses

Some family friends gave the girls these birdhouses, and we finally painted and mounted them.  The girls are thrilled.

Communication

Emily has written letters to the Tooth Fairy and the Easter Bunny.  Amazingly, they both wrote back.  I blame the movie "Rise of the Guardians."

 Emily had a stomach bug hit around 4am, so she wasn't quite up to par on Easter morning.

 Then they all lapsed into a candy coma and watched "Hop."

Music program

The first grade music program was tonight.  Emily had a reading part that she was VERY excited about.  She did a fantastic job (sorry about the cell video).

 

 

We got some celebratory DQ afterwards.

 

 

 

 

Yardwork

 On the last Saturday of Spring Break, we couldn't help but spend all day outside.  We pulled weeds, painted and installed the fire pit insert, and I even swept the pine needles off of the roof.

Ellen wanted to watch the van "leak oil" like on Cars 2.

Welchs

 Monday we went over to Uncle Jim & Aunt Christie's for dinner.  We attempted some family pictures.

Hales

 On Saturday evening we went to Uncle Bernie & Aunt Sandy's.  Brian made some of his famous food, and it was well worth the wait.  Holy cow.  The girls also played in the hot tub, and my mom and I both got a little wet trying to rescue sinking kids.
