Cancel the Bunk Bed

Okay, so we haven't actually ordered a bunk bed. It's on our wish list. But I guess if Emily prefers the floor, we won't need to upgrade--Ellen can have the toddler bed when it's time. Awesome. Saves money.

And...just because she's cute.


Do you notice we're also saving money on jammies? Emily just sleeps in dresses, and Ellen is our nature girl. Double awesome.

The Bird Show

Jon had previously scouted out the best possible location for the bird show (it has a cooler name, I promise), and he was DEAD ON.

Yeah--I think he missed our heads by about an inch. Emily was beside herself with excitement. There were several fly-bys, and we were either right under them, or right next to them.

The Zoo

On Thursday we headed up to the zoo. Jon & the girls have been a few times while I was at work, so I was excited to go with them. This was Ellen's first real experience with the goats, and there was a lot of giggling.

This owl was SO tiny! It could probably fit comfortably in the palm of your hand.
