Making cookies

Emily helped me make cookies to take to school tomorrow (her last day, since we didn't want to pay for April and Jon's parents will be here tomorrow evening).

New dress from Aunt Cindy

Since we watched some America's Next Top Model this week, Emily thought she'd give Aunt Cindy some ANTM poses in the new dress. Sidenote: her pigtails were not really sticking straight up, they were just against the curtain when she sat down.

38 weeks

A kind of dark 38-week shot, for those who wanted an update. I'll try to get a lighter one before the end.

Bye-bye Aunt Cindy!

It was hard getting a shot will all of us looking and smiling.
Yikes, I definitely have fat face...at least from this angle.

We might be in trouble with this one

About an hour ago Emily and I loaded the dishwasher after dinner. She's currently playing with her doll and put it in her booster seat. All by herself she went to the dishwasher, opened it, and pulled out the tray so that she could use it with the doll. I don't think I could've told you that her tray was in the dishwasher...

Car stories

On Tuesday I took my Mazda to the dealership for an oil change & tire rotation and to fix whatever was causing the airbag light to go on. That afternoon I was told I wouldn't be able to drive it, and they had to order a part--it should be in Friday morning. So I was given a Passat (2.0 Turbo, fully loaded) via Enterprise to drive until then. Yesterday afternoon they told me that the part won't be in until Tuesday, and rather than pay for my rental, they put me in one of their loaners--an '08 Mazda Tribute. So I feel like I've been playing musical cars, and I hope it all gets settled before I have a baby (like the original plan).

Emily learned all about Starbucks and coffee.
Dare wear short shorts...

We're still practicing on the potty.
New Etnies, new puzzles, and new desire to cross her legs when she sits down.
More hilarious Easter videos... check out her arm on the sideways one--good thing the eggs were hard-boiled!

Sidewalk chalk

One of Emily's presents in her Easter basket was put to good use this afternoon. We were able to be outside AND color--two of Em's favorite things.

Present from Auntie Kim

Aunt Kim sent a duck glove. Emily likes it very much, and thinks that all 5 ducks have ponytails just like her.

Wii

Playing with the dogs

Emily decided Deeds needed to go "night-night," so she bundled her up in a blanket.

Egg hunting, part 1

I'll get more pictures & video from Cindy. This is all I got after a short battery charge.

Easter eggs

We told her that the eggs were taking a bath, because that's what her bath water looks like when we add the fizzy tablets. She was VERY excited. The first one is really short--the battery went dead and I didn't realize it until later.

Easter, part 1

Lots of people take 12 years to graduate...

Jon is accepting graduation gifts--just email me if you need our address.

Aunt Cindy

Aunt Cindy is here for Spring Break, and Emily is THRILLED (as am I). They've colored, played with puzzles, colored, played with toys, colored, gone to the park, and colored. Cindy's been better at taking pictures than I have, so if you're approved on her blog, you should check it out.

Notice cool new Etnies shoes that Aunt Cindy bought Emily...they're for her birthday, but this way we're sure they'll fit and get lots of use.
In a box, coloring a box...
I'm sorry I've been a blog-slacker. Especially for those of you who thought that meant I was having a baby. I'll try to be more consistent, especially since I'm on Spring Break. Pregnancy update--I'm 3cm and scheduled for an induction on April 10 if nothing happens before then.

Cutie

I was having a bad morning, so I thought I'd hide it with a cute accessory.

Makeup

How do they know? I guess she's seen me put on mascara. But when I handed her the lip gloss to pretend it was a tool (seemed safer than a screwdriver), I didn't really expect her to coat her eye with it.
