One week down, three to go. Hooray for surviving week one of summer school. It wasn't too bad, either. The only problem is, it's only going to get worse--at least it will if it's anything like last year. The kids start to get to know one another, and are able to collaborate on their misbehaving schemes. You hate to say that a leopard never loses its spots, but sometimes it is true.

you're very brave to be working still. or maybe tough is the proper word. i was milking that pregnancy thing as hard as possible. i quit my sitting in a desk doing practically nothing for 20 hours a week job a good month before ellen was born. course it was only two weeks before her due date, but still i got out as early as i thought it would be acceptable.
Another teacher asked if I would share a teaching position with her so we would only both teach for 2 weeks of summer school. I am going for the milking it thing and I turned her down. Good luck with your students.
