The Steeles are known for their insomnia. Jon & his family usually watch TV, play computer games, etc. until they fall asleep. Clearly, Emily suffers from it, too, as she "goes to bed" at 8pm, but is often up in her room until 9 or 10. At 3am when I was finding Ellen's pacifier for her, I noticed that Emily had fallen asleep drawing. Poor thing.

A true Steele
