Our local pediatric dentist is out of control. It's insane there. Nearly overwhelming. I think Emily was in awe and exclaiming the ENTIRE time.
First, she played with the giant doll house.
First, she played with the giant doll house.

Then, a real cash register that worked and everything.

And finally the kitchen, with a fully-stocked fridge and microwave that seemed to work as well (light went on, rotating plate inside, humming). I'm pretty sure our copay went directly to his Pottery Barn Kids credit card.

Emily was super still during her x-rays (the hygienist said she was the best of the day); it probably helped that she had a princess movie about three feet from her face on her own TV.

Then it was toy-picking time...she was able to choose two because she was so good. As I led her to the "girls side" to look through the various foofy things she's generally so attached to, she yelled, "Snakes!!" and immediately chose two. The snakes went with us to Costco, and they are currently bathing with Emily and Ellen.

She also got to pick a Dora toothbrush, got cool flossers (all in a popcorn box), and at the end of her visit the dentist (yes, the dentist himself) took a picture of the proud patient next to a giant giraffe. We'll scan the picture later--you'll have to endure the picture of a picture for the time being.

Lame sidenote: she's got a few "sticky spots" in her deep crevices that need to be fixed, so we'll be going back in a few weeks.
