Seriously

In all fairness, when she didn't want to sleep on her bed or the floor, I did say she could sleep on her table.

Dirty girl

Guess which kid INHALED her dinner so she could go play back outside with her tractors?

Monkey-arms strikes again

On Sunday evening we went to a birthday party. The nice family gave us some nice cake to take home. I put it on top of some things between Abby & Ellen, forgetting that Abby has monkey arms. Midway home I glanced back and saw that the cake had fallen between the seats, and Abby had snatched the frosting-covered plastic wrap and was having a good ol' time eating it.
Oh my.

This is what the poor cake looked like afterwards.

Wood chunks

We go to a little construction place down the street to get free wood for our fire pit. This time they only had small pieces, but I grabbed several anyway. The girls decided they'd make great stacking blocks, and have been playing with them all day. Guess we won't have a bonfire quite yet...

Dentist

On Thursday Ellen had her first visit to the dentist. I was a bit concerned about how she'd do, but she was awesome--they got x-rays and everything!

Emily has had several visits, so she was an old pro.
Yeah. Ellen liked their toys.

Uncharacteristically, Ellen chose to watch "Finding Nemo." She also held a Nemo fish during her time in the chair.

Visitors!

This week Sara, Karley & Jakob came to visit! We went to the zoo (I totally forgot the camera) and did lots of hanging out. It was awesome.

Unpacking + Aunt Cindy = face paints rediscovered

I feel obligated to share that they did the artwork themselves.

Zoo with Jeff, 3 of 3

A few pics by Emily...

(she captured Ellen's scraped knee)

and her new cute shoes

Back to me....

Um, one little blonde girl was more excited to ACT like a goat and climb all over their structure than actually petting the goats...but this is when she saw the goat poop right in front of her, and she happily declared, "The goat's got nuts in his booty!"

The rainbow lizard. No one believed Cindy and I when we told them about it. This time I got proof.

Zoo with Jeff, 1 of 3

Ellen liked the lynx. Or vice versa.

Insert traumatic story: I had Abby in the ergo (front carrier), and was happily taking pictures of these elephants, when I half-stepped on something. I looked down...

and saw THIS:
I freaked out and ran a million yards away, sucking in air rather than screaming, and holding on to Abby for dear life. When I turned around to check on Jeff and the girls, I saw Ellen three-quarters of the way out of the stroller on her way to pet it. Both girls asked to touch it. I nicely said they couldn't.

Yes, they are looking at me like I'm crazy.

This is the first time we've EVER, in 3 years, seen the ocelot. Well, I've seen it's paw, or tail, but that doesn't count.
Abby also thinks I'm crazy.
