OMSI, part 2

Emily also loved pretending that she was a squirrel, and stored lots of acorns.

Both girls enjoyed the kitchen/grocery store area.

Emily eventually joined Ellen by the balls, and saw how much fun they were.

OMSI, part 1

This morning I took the girls to OMSI. I hadn't been in a long time, and I've been rather jealous of their field trips while I'm at school. They had a BLAST, even if we were only there for two hours.

Ellen LOVED playing with the balls in the vacuums.

Emily spent the first (and last) half hour in the sand, and it looked much like this the entire time. Ellen thought the sand was burning lava, which is why she was over with the balls.

Baking is getting more involved

Ellen was the professional paper putter-inner. She even had to show Daddy (Wook, Daddy! Wook!)

Emily does everything else. I mean, I measure ingredients and pour batter into cups, but she does all of the dumping and stirring, including breaking the eggs.

Role Reversal

Someone else was in bed last night and a different girl was in the weird position.

The gardeners?

Emily and a friend did some serious gardening at Auntie Kim's. Unfortunately, they look a bit like plumbers...

Mother's Day

t
Emily and Jon made me breakfast--waffles, eggs & bacon.
Church--they gave out roses.
Home--barbecued chicken kabobs, naps, relaxation.
Iron Man 2.
Barbecued steak & morel mushrooms with the Mundens.
Emily made me a cake and sang a little song.
I love being a mom.

Mother's Day planting

The girls (with a little help from Jon) helped me get the apartment-yard planted for Mother's Day. It was a great gift!

heirloom tomato with chives on top:

Gerbera daisies...my favorite!

a bell pepper that will hand upside-down after I steal Kim's hanger-thingie:

a pink Gerbera:

spearmint, oregano, and garlic:

Emily's coup de gras--yellow and pink Gerberas and purple African daisies:
